Gardens make FOOOOOOD!!!
Root Crop Co-op
And Now for this year's plan! After many years of battling weedy pathways, junk filled edges, some good and some terrible harvests, and feeling bad for folks who can't seem to follow through for all very good reasons, we are going to try a co-op model. The plan is to create pods based on location. Those pods will each get a share of the bounty we all make TOGETHER! If there are 5 pods, 🙂 one fifth of the harvest goes to each pod. There is much to flesh out in this plan and I hope to do that together. Tiffany has already worked very hard on our initial poster and sign up form. We have donated seeds! We need a garden map. We need a way to schedule one "designate" from each pod for work days. We need Two Parties !! (spring soil build and fall harvest), we need a list of interested gardeners and their locations. And we need some one or someones with really funky titles to put it all together and communicate it all!
We will plant onions, potatoes, carrots, beets, shallots, garlic (already in actually), Ash'kiban and a small amount of Turnips or rutabagas. ... am I missing anything?
Please fill in this Form
Lets make MORE food (and less quack grass 🙂)
Peace, Maryann
P. S. We share our Asparagus Patch, Rhubarb Patch, Garlic patch, Strawberry patch, Raspberries and the few Saskatoons with anyone who wants to help us weed them. Depending on the year, season, and the weather gods, Honeyberries, Cherries, Apples, Plums and Currants may also be ready to share.

Broody Hen Rental
Each year, in early spring, we rent out Broody Hens for folks who are interested in watching a good mother hatch and raise chicks. It's a great way to show kids where chickens come from, and they are super cute. Get in touch Here if you want more details!
You will need an enclosed yard or pen. She will need to get off the nest on her own time in a safe spot, to go eat, drink and dust bathe at least once a day. You would have her for approximately 2 weeks, watch her hatch her chicks and then as long as you like afterwards, keeping her safe as she does the warming, training, cleaning and raising of her babies .
